   Saurabh Kumar is an M.Tech. (Research) student in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), working with Prof. Prasanta Kumar Ghosh at the SPIRE Lab. His research focuses on speech and language technologies for low-resource and linguistically diverse settings, with a particular emphasis on automatic speech recognition (ASR), dialect identification, and multilingual speech processing. He has worked extensively on speech technologies for Indian languages, including large-scale speech corpus development, low-resource ASR, dialectal speech recognition, and multimodal speech-text modeling. His recent work includes the RESPIN project, which develops speech technologies for underserved communities in India, and contributions to large-scale multilingual speech initiatives such as VAANI.
